Over the past 35 years of establishment and development, the Department of Plastic Surgery – Hanoi Medical University has taken pride in being the first academic department of plastic surgery in Vietnam. Founded in 1991 by Nguyen Huy Phan, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, a pioneer who laid the foundation for plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as microsurgery in Vietnam, the Department has continuously grown from its early challenges into a reputable center for education, scientific research, and technical transfer.
On the occasion of the 35th Anniversary of its establishment, the Department is honored to organize an International Scientific Conference, bringing together experts, scientists, and surgeons from Vietnam and abroad. The scientific program features updated topics in reconstructive plastic surgery, aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, the application of advanced technologies, and the management of complications. The Conference serves as an important academic forum to strengthen scholarly exchange, promote international collaboration, and orient the sustainable development of the specialty.
